Adopt A Grandparent!!!

Here at the hospital we have 13 long term care residents, 6 men and 7 women, who are currently in isolation.

A wonderful way to brighten their day would be to write a letter, draw a picture or make a card for one or more of our residents!

You can drop off your creations in the designated box by reception in the main entrance of the hospital, or take a picture of it and post it to the page!

A big thank you to everyone who participates!!

Manitouwadge Ontario, located in the heart of the Canadian Shield is 54 km north of the Trans-Canada Highway, and roughly 400 km east of Thunder Bay and 425 km west of Sault Ste. Marie.

Santé Manitouwadge Health is situated so that most of the patient rooms have a great view of Lake Manitouwadge and the hills beyond. The north wings house nine private patient care rooms and nine long term care rooms, with some rooms designated for pediatrics, palliative care, isolation and patient lounges.

Our Board, Management Team and staff have embarked on the creation of a local Health Hub for our community by integrating the following services; acute and LTC, Family Health Team, home nursing services (myCare), transportation (myRide), Clinic Management Services, Public Health Education, seniors programs and diabetes education.

In a small community where we know our patients and we don’t mean just clinically, the integration has offered our clients not only convenience, but also a more efficient navigation to healthcare services and improved outcomes.

This dedicated and visionary team of care givers remains passionate about the services they provide and integration continues to facilitate the transition to higher quality care.

The Hospital has the highest level of Accreditation bestowed by Accreditation Canada; Exemplary Standing.
