Your privacy is important to us. Measures are taken to protect your privacy and confidentiality. Your healthcare record is confidential unless you give us permission to release information or as required by law.
When you seek health care from us, we assume that we have your permission to collect, use and share your personal health information among your health care providers, including the doctors, nurses, social workers, therapists, and other professionals or their support staff within the hospital, who provide or assist in providing health care to you. We may also give your personal health information to your physician or other health care providers outside the hospital so they can provide you with ongoing health care and follow-up.
Hospital staff who do not provide or assist you with health care are generally not allowed to see your health information.
There are times when we may give information to friends or family, such as whether you are a patient and what room you are in. You should let hospital staff know as soon as possible if you do not want us to give such information to anyone. You may not want us to give this information to certain people who you can name or describe. For example, you may not want us to give out information about you to anyone other than your spouse or children.
You or a family member can also assist us by:
· Informing us when you have a concern about your privacy .
· Respecting the privacy of other patients and patient’s family members.
