The Manitouwadge Family Health Team and the Manitouwadge Physicians Group work together to offer preventative care appointments.

The registered nurses at the Manitouwadge Family Health Team will monitor patients for their need for preventative screening based on best practice guidelines.

A preventative care appointment is approximately 20-30 minutes in length. And you should expect the following:

  • Height
  • Weight
  • Blood pressure
  • Heart rate
  • Oxygen saturation
  • Flu shot (during flu season, if desired)

With a medical directive in place, the registered nurse is able to order testing for Colon Cancer Screen (FIT kit), routine blood work and perform a pap test (for women). The registered nurse can also provide the contact information for the patient to book their screening mammogram.

The Manitouwadge Family Health Team may contact any patient due for preventative care screening by mail to advise them that they are due for preventative care screening. It is at the patient’s discretion to contact the office to schedule an appointment.

To schedule an appointment or to inquire about your preventative care status, please contact the Manitouwadge Family Health Team at (807) 826-3251 Ext. 301
