The Chronic Pain Management program is a 6 week program that runs in partnership with St. Joseph’s Care Group in Thunder Bay. This program uses both in-person and virtual care sessions to provide patients with all of the benefits of the 6 week Chronic Pain Management Program offered in Thunder Bay, directly in Manitouwadge.

The Chronic Pain Management Team consists of:

  • Physiotherapists
  • Registered nurse
  • Social worker
  • Chronic Pain Management Team at St. Joseph’s Care Group in Thunder Bay

The program runs for 6 consecutive weeks, Monday to Thursday in the mornings only. The program includes both educational sessions as well as hands on and physical mobility sessions. We highly encourage participants to make every effort to attend all sessions. Individual sessions with care providers are scheduled within the Monday to Thursday morning schedule.

This program addresses various areas that can impact the quality of life of someone who suffers from chronic pain. Regardless of the pain location or the cause of the pain, the team works together with the patient to help address these areas and improve overall function and quality of life.

Patients can be referred by the primary care provider, another care provider, or self-refer.
