The Hospital provides a cafeteria for both staff and patient use. Meals, beverages, and snacks are available.

The Food Services Department posts a daily menu on the board, but it is subject to change without notice.

Need a little extra help? A transportation service for the elderly and physically limited person who may be unable to utilize a standard taxi vehicle is available.

Spiritual counselling and one-to-one visitation can be arranged according to the patient/resident’s wishes.

The SMH activity coordinator also organizes spiritual programs for “special occasions” i.e. Christmas etc.

Clergy may be called at any time upon request.

Inquiries about any lost or found items should be made to the main reception.

Exposure to scents and fragrances in the environment can cause discomfort as well as directly impacting the health of sensitive individuals. For the comfort and health of all, scented and fragrant products are not to be worn or brought into the facility.

Scented products include, but are not limited to soaps, colognes, perfumes, aftershave products, lotions, powders, deodorants, hairsprays and other hair products, other personal scented products, strongly scented flowers (such as lilies and hyacinths), cleaning products, air fresheners and deodorizers.

By law you CANNOT smoke or hold lighted tobacco or cannabis or vape any substance in any enclosed workplace, any enclosed public places and designated outdoor places in Ontario. This includes ALL outdoor grounds of Santé Manitouwadge Health.

Violators may be subject to fines.

The Family Health Team at Santé Manitouwadge Health offers a free nicotine therapy smoking cessation program.

Santé Manitouwadge Health provides free wifi access throughout the building to patients and visitors, simply ask the Receptionist or your nurse for the network and password.
